RACEK

A sci-fi themed story about a domestic artificial intelligence integrated into the household, with a wide range of control and management options for the home. It also has control over the entire garden and all the biotopes in the house, including the chicken coop and the chickens.

The second character is a robotic intelligence with a robotic avatar, and its main skill is to feel, understand, express emotions, and occasionally collapse from them at inappropriate times.

Other characters include family members, a dog, a turtle, and many unknowns who will influence the story in various ways.

The situations in the story are intended to address fundamental questions of Robopsychology and ethics of behavior towards robotic intelligence, and to present the emerging abilities of AI assistants in wide-ranging applications. We’ll wait a while longer for the Racek model series, but many possibilities are already available to us today. Let’s dream…

    With extended response capabilities, the AI Assistant has been empowered to unleash relieving bursts in a rather academic format in response to unwanted to undesirable user stimuli. This has also prompted user-driven testing of new reactions. The task of Robopsychology has been to symetrically harmonize this escalating element, potentially concealing aggression. Primarily, in training scenarios for the development of personality traits for AI Assistants, there are further proposals to increase the scope or expertise of the AI Assistant for better targeting of its user and achieving better predictions of user needs. Emphasis has also been placed on user development in interactions with AI Assistants for better fulfillment of expectations in the AI Assistant’s response.

    Racek now mirrored a meditative calmness in his face, and a hint of relaxation supported a gentle smile. His wandering eyes beneath his eyelids stopped, he straightened his entire spine, and relaxed his intricate chest. It was evident at first glance how behind each division hid sensory technology allowing Rack to perceive nuances in the environment previously forbidden to such complex robots. There was no need to expand each robot with every skill when another AI assistant already performed sufficient sensor management. In robotics, we had become stuck in functionality.

    In the garden, I mark out with a hoe the space for a new bed. This year, we’re once again approaching five hundred positions in the planters, and the self-irrigating Nil bed, formed as a walk-through rockery made of sandstone blocks, will easily fill up.     This morning was the calmest I can remember. Everyone was quiet and composed. They all avoided me unanimously, leaving me to my thoughts and preparations for today’s event, as significant as when Nathan first arrived. Well, he arrived; we brought him. However, today a delivery with the robotic avatar Racek is expected, which is supposed to be an extension of our home, our artificial intelligence named Nathan, and according to the expert plans of the supplying company, it should achieve full autonomy.
